eurovox 10 disc stacker

I have a eurovox stacker in my VS Statesman and since i put a bale of hay in the boot the stacker hasn't been working . I've tried a laser cleaning cd but with no help. The unit is only a couple of years old as it was replaced by the dealership i brought the car off and worked a treat until the bale of hay. It gives me an error 4 dirty cd on the headunit display.
Is their any other ways of cleaning the laser-unit better than just the cd cleaner?

I think you should pull the stacker out and see if any hay found it's way in there.

Is there any products i should avoid in cleaning the laser when out, ie would alcohol to clean photographic lense do the job or would it damage the lense?

I would avoid touching the lens if possible. Pull it apart, use compressed air to clean it out and do a visual, put it back together and try it out. If that doesnt work, then try to clean the lens. Personally I would just use the tip of a cotton bud with no cleaning product at all to avoid leaving any residue.
