Hi all,
Iv'e just purchased a kicker 4channel amp, and am also running a Lightning Audio 5channel amp (biggun)... i have installed these and the system sounz excellent. Problem is that my 5 channel won't switch off with the iginition turned off (keys out). Now, from the head deck, i have the amp/remote wire going into the 5channel amp 'remote in', and from there across to my Kicker 4Channel 'remote in' - is this correct?
Both amps are sharing positive cable from battery to boot and are sharing the same earth (about 500mm grounded in the boot). Wire is adequate to handle this much draw from battery to supply enough to amps.
The Kicker amp will turn off when the ignition is turned off, but my old 5channel won't!! It's like i have 12v constantly running into the remote in, but i don't!! Any ideas coz i'm getting flat batteries leaving the amp running all night!!!
if you take the remote wire off the 5 channel amp does it turn off?
if it does turn off then there'll be a short some where with the remote wire.
if it doesn't turn off then it'll be a short inside the amp
