Default amp power wire through firewall - manual vn

just wondering where anyone with a manual vn has put their amp power wire through the firewall.

i did a search and i didnt get any answers.. i have no idea where to put it. without drilling.

if anyone can post some pictures, it would be nice. i dont mind drilling a hole, but i just dont know where to do it.

    thanks in advance.

yeah i removed my washer bottle and had a look there. theres a few large grommets with loom running through them, but i dont particularly want to drill a hole into them cos i dont know whats on the other side. theres no grommet on the passenger side either, i thought there was cos my mate with a vs manual has his running to that side, but i had a look and there isnt. unfortunately.

You could use the bonnet release hole....just have a look and see whether the 4awg will fit.

Yeah 4 gauage doesnt fit throught the bonnet release cable grommet. I think ive said this b4 , but using the thickest bit of an old antenna, put that in your cordless drill, and drill into the main engine loom, if you use a normal drill put, you will destroy the grommet.

In my manual VN. I ran it through a grommet under the throttle cable, but that was only 8gauge. You need to remove the washer bottle to see it properly

Good idea, but if you try this method, be very careful not to drill into any of the wires of the loom as it will be very costly.

I ran my amp wire through a hole that is just near the clutch pedal. You will need to stick your head right under the dash to see it. Make sure you have your car out in the sun light, with the bonnet up so you can see the sun shine through the hole, so you can find it. You might be able to fit 4 gauge through there.

My new ride with some upgrades.
