Default vx rear parcel shelf installation

Hi guys. OK, so i rushed my speaker installation for the rears a bit. I bought some cheap 6x9s and cut out the holes on my parcel shelf (the carpet) and punched out the whole and they fit in their perfectly.

The question i have- i have speaker grills but i cut the carpet the perfect size of the grill so i dont have anywhere for the tabs to sit into. Any ideas how i would get around this? I honestly dont mind if i end up super gluing them as long as it looks neat.

Also- how do i get the wires from the rear door to the boot and to the speakers? I know where to get them from but where abouts do i run them if you know what i mean.

And can i screw the speakers strait to the metal their? Sorry- first time

PS I have looked through the forums and havn't found anything on where to put the wires

    Many thanks

Regarding the speaker grills, there isn't a whole lot you can do now. I would suggest romoving the parcell shelf cover and have a go working with it out of the car. I'm sure there is a glue you could use, but I would deffenatly suggest NOT to use supper glue, sicaflex would probly work.

As to the speaker wire, if you want to use the standard wires then you could obtain them at the B piller if you romove the scuff boards and tap in to the loom that goes in the each of the back doors at the bottom of the B pillar.

Thanks for that. Yes, I thought i would have to use them from the back doors. How do I get them from their though to the parcel shelf? like, what path will the wire take to get their?

    Many thanks

Follow the scuff plate to the seat then up to the parcel shelf. Removing the rear seat is quite simple, once its out you'll see clearly.
