Default Audio refresh for VS II calais

Hi all, I own a series 2 vs calais with complete stock audio setup. About 6 months ago the fm radio just died on me but cannot work out why. But anyway i am thinking of refreshing the whole setup. Been thinking of the ipod alpine units either the ida-x200 or x300. Also being a calais ill be looking for a new set of components for the front. Not sure what to do with the back speakers though. Not wanting to change or modify parcel shelf at all.

Any suggestions or hints or tips about the head units and possibly what size speakers would be best for the rear parcel shelf. Would like to keep it all alpine.

    Cheers guys

Why would i want to put splits in the rear? Where on earth would i then mount the tweeters and crossovers?

What brand 6" did you put in? I have had the grill off and looked at my stocko speakers at the back and they to me only look 4". Is that correct? And if so how do 6" still fit nice?
