Hey there,
i am after an original Eurovox Radio and 10 CD Stacker for a VS Calais
Let me know what ya got to indianchief1947@hotmail.com![]()
Your best bet is to search on ebay but the Eurovox stacker that Holden used was an unreliable piece of rubbish. I bought a 2nd hand one off ebay for about $200 and only lasted 2 weeks before that one carked it. Your best bet is to buy a new aftermarket H/U and stacker. The sound quality will improve and much more reliable. Plus it won't cost you much more than a second hand setup.

Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
Thanks for the reply. Is there something that will replace the Eurovox one that will make the Antenna function and work with the original wiring
Do you mean with the electric antenna? Then yes. Nearly all modern head units allow you to connect the wiring for the electric antenna. They just won't have the function to allow you to select how high or low you want it set. But still thats neither hear nor there. Plus if you upgrade to an after market CD head unit you won't really need a stacker.

Pioneer won't work your aerial properly. I have just had this problem in my VR. They do not have a specific aerial wire. just one which can be used for an amp or aerial switch. It will go up and down when the unit is own connected to this wire but it won't work the aerial like it would work now with the factory eurovox sound system. That is if you have a CD or tape in the head unit the aerial doesn't come up and only comes up when the head unit is switched to radio tuner . The pioneer ones are up all the time if the head unit is turned on, that is even if you have a CD in or using auxillary input and not using the radio. I wired in a secondary switch so I can manually put it down when a CD is being used but pain in the butt. I am probably going to give it to my brother to put in a hilux ute and buy something that will work it properly when I get round to it.
A 1994 eurovox tape deck could do it but a 2008 pioneer CD player can't. See my recent post in this section (VR mad) on the issue and the replies for which units will work it properly. Make sure you that the unit you buy has a dedicated aerial switch wire that only powers when the tuner is on not the CD and make sure you tell them you want to bring it back if it doesn't. But I can guarantee pioneer won't work it properly like it did from the factory.

Come on someone out there has at least the Correct Eurovox Stereo to suit my VS Calais.
I like to keep things original and only listen to the radio

And it has to be a Calais one and not a Statesman one
Stop looking for the Potholes and sit back and Enjoy the Ride
Ebay or a wreckers are your options. I know there's a few currently on ebay but is it worth the price?
