amp and Sub through standard blaupunkt head unit

Hey guys, I have a WK statesman with the blaupunkt 6 stacker head unit. I want to wire up an amp for my subs I’ve got not problem with the power side of things but it’s the signal. I don’t want to change the head unit because it communicates with the LCD screen with the climate control and the LCD on the instrument cluster and I don’t want to loose that and have the LCD screens blank. Does the standard unit have RCA outputs at the back or is there a different way to do it any help would be great. Thanks guys

you can get line leval converters (30bux ish)for the signal
runs form spkr wires to rca then ya can plug into amp
or get amp with spkr wire inputs

most car audio shops sell theres and can fit them

Cool thanks mate, ill look into the line level converter as i already have an amp that i pulled out of my old car. i supose jaycar would have them thanks

iv got it a convertor with my single disc blauhpunket, connects to a mono amp powering the sub, haven't noticed any difference in sound quality sounds great

You could talk to Phreddy about modifying your stock head unit to have RCA outputs - these are wired directly to the low-level side of the inbuilt amplifiers so it's a perfect signal.

yeah definetley recommend speaking with Phreddy from asr-audio on the sponsors forum.

He has it hooked up on his VZ, Sounds awesome with his amp and 12"

Only issue is that he is in syd. Speak to him and see how you go..

thanks guys i will look into both those options, i think i will probably go for the converter from jaycar. ive got a duel voice coil eclips 12" and an 820 RMS amp that i have sittin around that i will probably throw in but the parcel shelf in the stateo has what looks to be two 8" or 10" subs in it. would it be work upgrading those to a good quality and amping it up or will it sound crap coz its not boxed, i had two 15" subs in my old car but now im going for a more boot space conserving set-up. also my cars book says it has a 10 speaker sterio but i can only find 8, where do they hide the others? any input would be great

Just went to Jaycar In NZ today and brought one for $18.. Getting cheaper.

Now just gotta try wire my sub and amp up
