hey i just got a Clarion headunit and so i wanna keep all the system Clarion as well but im not sure what the speakers are like. i was thinking splits in the doorpods and 6x9's on the back parcel shelf all running off an amp without a subby. can anyone vouch for the Clarion speakers?
hey mate clarion speakers are about in par with most medium etc speakers. let me know what you budget is and i will tell you what will give you best bang for your buck..
and btw its not really a good idea to go for a whole system with one manufacture.
as they are good at some things but there will be some one else better at making other components for the same price.
also.
check out the jaycar catalogue. if theyre speakers and amps are within your budget i would recommend them.
A mate of mine has some 4in Clarions in his corolla and they are about average. Definately an upgrade from standard though.
Whatever you get, make sure you listen to it beforehand

yea i was looking at the response speakers as well cause i used to have a set of their ribbon tweeters in my last car and they were really good
By everyones accounts response gear is good value for money. I would almost be inclined to get them over lower-level clarions.
Have a listen to a few brands and then decide what suits your music style best

I had a set of clarion splits a few years back and they were fairly average. But they have totally different types now to what i had. I'v got some kicker slits at the moment and i would recomend them as the tweeters are really crisp in sound.
I got clarion 6x9s and they seem to be pretty good. they have a good bass punch to them.
Australia. Love it or leave it
