    Default remote wire problem

Im installing a 10" JL Audio Sub running off a 4 channel kicker amp. The headeck is a Blaupunkt London mp37. Everythings installed and works fine, its just that the amp doesn't turn off when the car does, therefore draining the battery. The remote wire's connected properly, so I don't know what the problem is.

    Any help?

    Thanks

What am I supposed to check, ie what could be the problem with the wiring to the battery? as i said the headeck works fine, just that the amp doesn't turn off when the car does.

sorry for the dumb questions just never had this problem before.

    thanks again

..possibilty that the remote wire from the head unit may be buggered

had a similar problem with a previous head unit, except the head unit would not turn on the amps

try tapping the ampflier's remote wire to the switch/ignition (should be yellow i think) wire of your head unit and see how you go

thats the solution i used for the previous head unit.

Well the block with the RCA/remote wire outs from the headeck is brand new so i don't think theres anything wrong with the headeck's remote wire. anyway ill try tapping it to the ignition wire and see what happens.
    thanks

was thinking that you might have the constant connected to the +12v, causing the head unit to stay on and hence the amp?

If you disconnect the trigger wire from the amplifier, does the amp still stay on? If so, your amp is cooked!
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
