    Default Interference Q's

Hey all, long time no post. Tomorrow I will be finishing a full install in a mates car, but I want to just clear a few things up.

When installing an amp, is the main power cable the only potential source of interference? Is the remote wire also prone to cause interference? Are speaker wires OK to run with power wires? I guess so because OEM speaker wiring is.

Usually I would run the remote wire with the signal cables, but what brought this up is that some sites say to run the remote with power and some say its OK to run with signal cables. What are peoples experiences?

This has probably been asked a million times but I find that the search isnt too helpful.

    Thanks.

remote wire wont cause you any dramas and speaker wire is good to go next to power. its only the RCA's that may be prone to interference.

Edit: the crossovers too, but in most cases its poor earths that cause system noise

99% it's perfectly fine to run speaker cable next to power cable. The only time it can cause an issue is extreme power loads. E.G. - Pulling 150A beside a speaker cable that is carrying 12wrms to a tweeter...but even then it's unlikely.

Remote wire can run next to anything you like. What causes noise isn't the voltage inside the cable, it's amperage behind it!
