need help with head-unit!!!!!1

ive connected it up, but when ever i turn my car off it resets the settings. would it be a wire i havnt connected properly?
i have a 88 vl calais, and a kenwood head-unit.

The yellow wire from the head unit needs constant power to keep the settings. Whatever you have the yellow wire to mustn't be constant power.

swap the connections between yellow and red.

As above, you there are 2 power wires. 1 switched from accesories and one connected to constant power from the battery. Its possible you've got these 2 wires hooked up back to front, or you've not got it connected to constant 12v at all
