Wondering if it's possible to run a 12" Pioneer TS-W306C subwoofer with the Kicker ZX400.1 class D amp. The specs for the amp say it can run 200watts at 4ohms or 400 at 2ohms. The nominal impedance for the sub is 4ohm. Do I simply wire it up, neg(sub) to neg(amp) and then pos(sub) to pos(amp). Or is this not possible due to it being an SVC sub.
Basically I'm trying to figure out if my SVC sub will work on this amp, or if I need to purchase a DVC sub.
Cheers
yes it will work fine
yes wire it up like you say it will run fine
untill you decide to update
As the sub is 4 ohm, you will just get the rated 200W from the amp, but it will work fine.
Cheers daron and stonex for your reply. Atleast now I can continue with my boot install......
