Power Antenna woes

Hey all after looking though just about every power antenna thread I could find I still can’t get the &%* antenna to stay up it goes up automatically every time I turn the radio on but then will go back down same result if I push the manual control buttons I have double checked the wiring I have even tried connect the cars antenna wire directly to the radios 12v power source, same result the antenna is not a genuine replacement part but came out of the same car model I drive and hooked up without any mod

This problem I fixed by replacing the small black control module under the dash on the passengers side.

It could be two things.

1.) The antenna module is stuffed.

2.) The antenna is not compatible with your module. If its not genuine Holden i'd say this is the problem. Aerpro who do the replacement ones use the same antenna for VL? right thrugh to VS. But there are about 8 different modules in that time period (3 just in the VN series) so it generally doesn't work very well. If it worked in the car it came from, then try and get the module out of that car as it is most likely the right module for that antenna.
