Soundstream have a 'Stealth' style sub, currently available in 10" and 12" I believe. They have a 13" one coming out this month or next month. Its only 200wrms so its not massively powerful or anything, but its only 2" deep and only needs a 1/2 cubic foot sized enclosure I believe.

most subs will fit into a 6inch deep of less enclosure, its the volume you need to worry about.

no point in having a 2inch deep sub, if it needs a 2cuft box...

your best bet would be to make a fibreglass box that fits to one side of the boot, right up against the panels.

There's a guy on eBay I think does those fibreglass custom looks.

But if you are game to do it yourself then it'll save you.

higher power subs often require a smaller box, but will only be as loud as a lower powered sub, in a larger box.

the power doesn't determine the size of the box, but a woofer that suits a small box will be less efficient, and therefore need more power to get just as loud.

what box dimensions can you actually fit?

Subs have optimal box sizes. Its not just a matter of the bigger the box the better it will sound.

To the OP, there are plenty of 500wrms+ subs out there that have an optimal box size of 1cubic feet to 1.5 cubic feet which is quite reasonable.

you're posting in this thread, so obviously you've got time to waste. you dont have to have a go at someone in nearly every thread you post in.

But you did imply that a larger box would make it sound louder.

    no, I didn't.

you seem to be lacking in comprehensions...

and bigger boxes are more efficient anyway!!
