Default window rattle

I got a sound system in my vy2 berlina, rockford fosgate 4x amp, 6.5 mb quart speakers, mb quart 6x9's. also there are 2 standard door speakers in the rear.
The drivers door rattles(the window more specificaly). Not any other doors, just noticable is the drivers door...This is obviously from the bass, but the volumes not overwhelming or anything. Is it just a case of putting insultation or something in?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Sounds like when the speakers were being isntalled the rubber insulator that holds the window in it's runner fell out....you will probably find it in your door still.

Reality is, if you had it professionally installed it could still be under warranty..not sure, but I know that I offer a lifetime warranty on actual installs and that would be covered.

G'day Cam , howyergoin' Ray...

So you got your stuff put in! Hope it all went well.

Bummer about the window rattle - haven't come across that before. Does the window rattle over bumps, when closing the door, etc? Was it like that before the installation? If not I agree it should be taken back to the installers to fix.

Best of luck, hope it works out for ya!

hey mate i had a similar problem when i first got my sub. When the front passengers window was down it would rattle, kinda sounded like someone was tapping the glass with a screw. All i did to fix it was wind the window up about half a centimetre, dunno if this is the same thing with your window but i hope it helps.

@Phreddy-it was like that only after the installation. it never rattles any other time, just when the right frequency of bass comes up. loud bass wont always set it off, but my nightwish cd always has it rumbling, at about 3/4 volume. which isnt that loud really.

Maybe the system is just too powerful for the car its in? its strange that it doesnt happen in any other window badly, considering i have 2x6.5inch in the front doors, 2x6inch in the back doors and 6x9 in parcel shelf. i can feel the whole window rattling. when volume and bass is really cranked up the car does rattle a lil, but thats to be expected.

@white-unfort changing the window position doesnt help, thanks for the suggestion though.

I'll take it back to see if the runner fell out, and maybe i may even get some insultation put in the door.?
