    Default carpeting sub box

    hi this may be a dumb question but does carpeting the sub box improve the sound or is it just for looks i'm putting a sub in next to the fuel tank in my ute and was wonderin if its a waste of time carpeting

    As long as the box is constructed properly, it's purely for looks. (it's amazing what kind of box construction sins can be covered by carpet...)

    I reckon being that this box is for a ute, just a few good coats of some kind of sealer (oil based undercoat would work fine) so it doesn't absorb moisture and you'll be good to go.

    Phreddys right, in your instance I wouldn't carpet that puppy....but I would seal it.
    You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
