Default re: urgent help 96 barina wiring needed

Hey guys,
Im installing a cd player into a 96 barina for the mrs but dont have a wiring diagram for it. Earth, power and acc is easy enough but not sure of the rest. Any help would be great as i dont wanna look like a tool and tell her i cant do it

You have power, acc and obviously earth. So speaker wires remain (unless your installing an amp). All I can suggest is take a battery (AA,AAA.etc doesnt really matter) and randomly touch the wires to it until you hear a crackle noise. This way you will find which pairs of wires are for which speaker. Only problem is that it may be hard to work out the correct polarity (+ and -). Alternatively remove each speaker and look at the wires connected to it.

Maybe even ask around. Go to places that install car audio (even JB, strathfield.etc) and ask if they have a wiring diagram to suit. Maybe even Holden. Service manuals include wiring diagrams. But im sure you dont want to buy one just for this.

Or lastly, buy an adapter. Saves cutting anything.

thanks bud yeah thought of the old battery trick but didnt wanna have to be removing plastics to find speaker polarity. As for the adapter aerpro dont make one for the piece of ****e :P and dont know any other brands to check with
