Default subwoofer wire question

hi this is probably a dumb question but is there any difference between 6mm speaker wire and 6mm power wire. i used all the speaker wire and can't geyt any more could i just run normal wire between the amp and sub.

Yes, wire is wire... If it's the same thickness, the only other difference really would be the number of stands of wire inside which only really affect the flexibility of the wire.

i would assume that yes there would be a differance between SPEAKER and POWER wire
however speaker wire is normally what you run between the amp and the sub power wire is what u run from the battery to the amp

why try fooling around when its just as easy to grab some speakeer wire fopr 1buck a metere and save the hassle laster
or have i misunderstood sumthing here?

nope no difference..like StoneX said only difference is stranfs but most times it's not a problem. Only cool thing about speaker wire is that both wires are joined together. Other then that...it's fine to use power/primary wire as your speaker wires.

Is it just me or is 6mm speaker wire pretty much overkill of anything that isn't this:
