    Default Stock VY headunit Subwoofer

    Hey all did a quick browse and didn't find what i was after, anyways i was just wondering if you can run the stock VY HU and run a sub and amp still i have heard it can be done. does anyone know what i need to do so

    yes it can
    ya can get ine level inpts from most car audio shops and tap them off ya rear spks and run to an amp and then to sub

    I used a converter it used a magic box you had to run all the wires to the box and then it would seperate the signal to a RCA out put for subs then go to the bare wire to the original wires again worked fine in my car.

    Phreddy's solution is much better - the signal is converted to low level (RCA) inside the h/u before the pre-amp. Much better quality sound.

    Cheers for that, i recently got a new job paying some good cash so i was thinking of just installing a new head unit pick up my amp soon so all is pretty much ready to be installed cheers
