yep got one, had it running for a few years now.

    pros
-rocks!!, gps, music, movies, the lot in one, fully customisable

    cons

-slow boot times unless you mess with it and get it booting quick(can be done)
-no radio for me at the moment, but there are (expensive) modules available
-not for the average person, you've gotta want to have the carpc, theres plenty of easier multimedia headunits these days that do very much the same thing without the headaches.

in saying that, im still in the process of building a newer smaller carpc for my vp.

using roadrunner front end, love it, tried a few others, keep going back to it.

also use xp as base, map monkey with destinator maps(these are horribly outdated now though, need something that will use tomtom or navman maps), and a bunch of other random apps.

I have a CarPC in my VX.
As Hakhawk says, it's not always as user friendly as u'd like. Mine has issues every now n then of just crashing for no apparent reason n all sorts at the moment :S

I'm running XP, with Roadrunner and using Google Earth for gps.

I have been looking for a while now, trying to find a double din case that will fit a 7" screen and still have room for the slot load DVD at the top. I found a X500 from some site, but they have discontinued it, besides it was a pre-built things too. I just want a noce looking fascia, that will hold the screen and give easy access to the DVD. I don't like the way the LCD screens angle out to open up the DVD slot on the "other" headunits.

I also want to have the CarPC because I want the custom aspects that I can design myself, and also I want to incorporate some OBDII data to one of the screens.

I have looked at "Centrafuse" front end software, don't seem to mind it. However ever I can't find any screenshots or anything for the "Roadrunner", or as it's now called "Ride Runner" front end. I'm also getting stuck on where to get the motherboard, duaghter boards and things for it locally.

Can somebody help me by pointing me in the right direction... Please
