Hey guys and gals,
i finally bit the bullet and installed all my speakers into the sv6.
i put in a couple of 6 inches, 6 by 9's, 5 channel amp and a sub, and kept the back door speakers stock (for now)...i won't get into details because i want to get a new set of splits for the front for better quality.
Anyway, whenever i turn my car off or on the sub makes this really loud, deep humming noise which can be felt until i open the door (thus, turning the whole system off as per usual)
iv'e heard that this can happen when keeping the stock head unit (which i have), but is there anyway to fix this?
cheers guys
what amp are you running? it could possibly be that or the RCA wiring
it's just an axis...i know they aren't the greatest brand out there, but the humming is getting better, not as loud or long but its still there
that happend to me the other week...blew my good amp trying to fix it...but i bought all new wires and re did it all again...it sucked...so now i got a cheep crap amp in and its wigs out after about a hr of use, i guess it would be over heating?
have you checked to make sure the amp is earthed really well? Thats can sometimes cause issues.
