Default Really loud hum from Sub

Hey guys and gals,

i finally bit the bullet and installed all my speakers into the sv6.

i put in a couple of 6 inches, 6 by 9's, 5 channel amp and a sub, and kept the back door speakers stock (for now)...i won't get into details because i want to get a new set of splits for the front for better quality.

Anyway, whenever i turn my car off or on the sub makes this really loud, deep humming noise which can be felt until i open the door (thus, turning the whole system off as per usual)
iv'e heard that this can happen when keeping the stock head unit (which i have), but is there anyway to fix this?

cheers guys

have you checked to make sure the amp is earthed really well? Thats can sometimes cause issues.

I'll have to check that out soon. It's so bad sometimes and doesn't stop that i have to turn the car off and on again and hope it doesn't happen the next time.

Where do you suggest i earth it in a vz sv6?

Anywhere metal. If the surface is painted, scratch some away so the earth is making good contact with the metal.
