Default Custom front speaker installation for VT

Hi everyone, just came across this great site while searching for a problem I'm having so I hope somebody can help me here (my apologies if it's been asked & answered before).
I'm installing a new sound system in my new VT Berlina but I want to know:
Am I limited to where I can place my front 6.5" splits?
I have bought some Rockford Fosgate front splits but it appears to me that the only place I can put them is in the door.
My problem here is now they will be hidden but I would rather have them showing with the Rockford Fosgate speaker grills.
The VT door speaker grills are curved in shape so I can't just simply cut a round hole & pop the new speakers in.
Then I thought maybe I could put them on the kick panels near the floor but as you probably already know, that is not an option either as there's some metallic box behind it.
Has anyone conquered this problem?.....any help as in what to do so I can install my new speakers with their grills would be appreciated.

i've seen custom door pods made in place of the original grills and then the speaker would be showing as you said.....but im pretty sure you'd have to get someone to do it or have a go at it yourself.

this is what you want, right?

If anyone knows who stocks them, please let me know.
Thanks again...at least now I know they're available.

Do something like this, any good installer should be able to do this or point u in the right direction. If you are in nsw i can give u the number of a audio store who does this work:

They're custom made... Any specialist car audio store should be able to do custom fibreglass work like that, but it won't be cheap.

After the strife I've had so far I'd probably pay that for a set if I could be certain my RF'S would fit...

I used to have a link for a mob who did them but I've lost it now.
Does anyone have a link they can post?
