My sub box tipped over when I was having some fun in a grassy paddock with the 5L... it hit something and split one of the sub surrounds (rubber flexible bit)
I took the sub out and repaired it from both sides with plastic cement.. this isn't going to last long, is it? Worked fine on one of my Alpine 6x9s when I put a screwdriver through the same part by accident...
Any thoughts? I want a new bass setup anyway, shame it had to happen like this as I was happy with my S Types

I'v never found repairs to last very long, few weeks at most i recon and a day or 2 at the shortest. If it starts to tear, maybe just use scissors to try and head the tear off and cut the small section thats torn out. Might work....
Another way to repair a rubber surround is to get another peice of surround from an old subwoofer etc and glue (decent glue) a peice over the tear on the front and from behind the woofer. Ive done this for a few people and seems to hold up fine, never had any problems either.

Wish I could take it off your hands but I really have no use for it.. does it come with an amp? What RMS? Didn't want to waste space in your for sale thread so thought I'd ask here...
