Default Subwoofer(s) location on VE Calais-V

Hi, I found a useful thread in VE section of this site (GREAT SITE BTW) for adjusting the gain on factory fitted amplifiers in VE Calais-V which worked FANTASTICALLY (upping the gain a little to increase base) BUT does anyone know WHERE the factory fitted subwoofers are located on a VE Calais-V ?
Being a bass note- it's very difficult to poinpoint where it's coming from and they are too 'weak' to feel vibrations from any particular point!

    Any advice gratefully recieved,

Can you provide a link to the post you are referring to ... I've trying to find it without success. The subs I believe are 8" drivers in the parcel shelf. I'm considering fitting a pair of Pioneer 8" triaxils.

To set the gain PROPERLY, start with gain turned down to MINIMUM, then turn the volume up to around 80%, with all EQ settings on the head unit switched off - no equalization. From there, turn the gain up until you hear any indication of speaker distortion. Turn the gain back down below where you first heard the distortion with some extra room for different music types etc.
