    Default VY II Calais

    Hey Fellas,
I have just recently Bought a VY II Calais, and i think i have subs on the parcel shielf but not 100% sure lol having never seen the stock subs i didn't know what they were supposed to look like. I was just wondering, IF they were subs and i had an amp for them somewhere in the car, Where would the amp be?? Is it under the Back seat?

    Cheers

Not sure about the amp - I think it's in the boot, under the floor. Lift up the cover (so you can see the spare tyre) and have a look around...possibly in the cavities either side of the spare wheel well. Some cars even hide them under the rear seat.

A better bet would be having a look under the parcel tray from inside the boot, and trying to see if there are speakers mounted on the parcel tray. The standard Executive has grilles only, no speakers.

The vy II Calais had 2 8 inch woofers on the parcel shelf with the amp behind the rear left quarter panel

how do the subs sound in your car?

ideally i'd like to find some factory subs and amp from out of a vx/vy calais and fit them to my vx berlina. not sure if berlina and calais share same wiring loom, will have to look for them. would be great if it did and was just a matter of plug and play.

you could do that, but having 6x9's or 6 inch in the shelf and a 10 or 12 inch in an enclosure would be a better option
