    Default Little speaker setup

Hi lads i'm looking at throwing an amp in the ute - nothing to big though. I'm looking at a few small ones from kenwood and these speakers from clarion. I still haven't decided on a head unit yet, probably just a single DIN unit also from clarion

I've also got a set of alpine r type 6x9's behind the seats which have had the tweeters disconnected so they act as woofers which are about 60w rms. My speakers draw a bit more than what the amp pumps out so i thought i might have to go to the 4x70w model, but i could buy two of the smaller ones and have a bit left over.

    What do you think?

YOu can build a ute sub box that fits next the the fuel tank. A 4 in ported bandpass sub enclosure using a 10 inch subwwofer gives a great amount of bass. Thers two ways you can make it, here are the picss of some that i have doneLittle speaker setup-29082008111.jpg

and here is a different setupLittle speaker setup-img013.jpg
this was for a vs but gives the advantage of more box volume for the front wave of the woofer, thus producing a more natural response as the the two partitions are more evenly balanced. This can be done for a vr to vz as well. And b4 anyone asks, i have heard of people using a 12 inch woofer in this location but i have never seen one or heard one, i can naturally assume that people would want to put a 12 inch in there, but i personally cant see how it would fit. Any pics would be nice. And its a 4 inch port through the air vent, so now voiding of warranty or making of an unroadworthy vehicle.
