Watching DVD player while driving??

Hey hows it going?.. I own a VY ute and have eclipse double din DVD headunit installed in it.. I am going on a long road trip and was wondering how can i wire it just for the trip so my passenger can watch it while i am driving.. I earthed the wire that was connected to the handbrake and u can watch it while driving now.. however the handbrake alert keeps coming up on the trip screen and keeps beeping and gets annoying.. is there anyway to stop this from beeping or a better way to wire it up ??

And yes i know its illegal and is dangerous.. however i just want it wired this way for my trip and will change back to origianal as soon as i get back..

it should have worked fine just by earthing that wire comming straight from the head unit that is the one u earthed yes??

trick it into thinking the handbreaks on

disconnect the wire going from the unit to the handbrake, then earth the wire coming from the headunit by itself.

i got mine put in at strathfield and they just did it and i watch it all the tym..lol

I'd love to tell you to earth the green? wire coming out of the deck to the chassis or any -ve wiring... but i cant
Yes its dangerous, wouldnt want you to lapse in concetration and cause an accident cause you watchin movies while driving.

yes, it's the green wire that he shouldn't. Shouldn't earth that wire though....it'll play movies while he is driving if he does that! LOL

baldbeno just wire up a switch so you can change it whenever you want? That's probably what i'll do with mine when i get my screen.
