i am trying to hook speakers up to the amp, i currently have a 15inch sub connected to the amp, when i hook it up the speaker only dissipates sub noises no treble how do i fix this?
thanks in advance LEGENDS
what amp?
you seem to ask lots of "easy" questions
your trouble shooting skills seem to be somewhat lacking.
lol nah not really im just learning but i tried putting them on different + and - spots but nothing and when i put it on the same spots the sub i only get sub freq,
the amp is a sony
sony what?![]()
sony xplod 250watt
fail
anyway, assuming its not a monoblock, set the crossover to "full" or "high pass" not "low pass"
if its a monoblock, then it doesn't do full range.
how many channel amp is it?
it sounds like you're trying to hook the speakers up to the same channel the subs are on, which if the low pass filter is on, you will only be getting low frequencies.
you need to hook the speakers up to a different pair of channels than the sub.
tried that amp must be ****ed, oh well
thanks for that lol
is it possible to put speakers on the high level out outs, since thats what speakers are anyway?
Is it possible to use Google?
LOL
What sort of head-unit are you using?
Are you trying to connect a pair of speakers to the amp as well as a subwoofer? If so its not really possible unless its a 4ch.
Its a possibility that the RCAs have been connected to the sub preouts rather than the speaker preouts on the head-unit, or some units have a switchable RCA output from full range to subwoofer.
Give model numbers of your equipment.
Sounds like your headunit only has a sub output that will just send bas frequencies to your amp... might wanna get an head unit with 3 x RCA outputs.
