double din enquiry

I've always wanted a double din touch screen head unit but I'm to much of a cheap bastard and don't feel like spending over $600 on a unit.

What do you guy think about these ones?

They are on ebay now a then as well.

Has anyone here got one? are they any good or should I just stick with my old pioneer head unit?

That unit looks OK, but in all honesty if youre going to spend $450-$500 you might as well keep your eyes out on here, Ebay or a car audio site like mobileelectronics.com.au and buy a good brand thats second hand.....more than likely you can pick one up for under $400. The only real downside is warranty.

I strongly recommend against buying a stereo off ebay, or any electrical product unless its a name brand. I fit stereos for a company and im amazed at the amount of junk we are asked to install. Warranty issues are a nightmare, sending back to seller and the time it takes. These units have very poor video and sound quality and with a menu system that looks like it was adapted off and old computer. you can get units similar to what is displayed in your link from car audio stores. And the site is offering 6.5 inch screens and 7 inch screens for the same price. Sounds very dubious.
