    Default replacing vz front speakers

I'm planning on replacing the font speakers in my vz and want to know if the crossovers for the oem ones are situated at the speakers themselves or further back in the wiring loom. also what would be the best way of wiring up the new ones (crossover placement etc ).

I beleive the "crossovers" are fairly basic on the stock speakers, they pretty much only have a component on the tweeter itself, and thats about it.

As far as wiring up the new ones go, i would place the tweeter in the corner of the dash on the A pillar, or in the stock location, its not the best place for them....but if youre after a stealth install and no extra screw holes etc its pretty much the only option.
The crossovers should be mounted in the kick panels or a little higher behind the dash, this area can be accessed easily by taking off the side panels of the dash.

Just use the stock wiring in between the kick panels and the speaker, will you running them off an amp or off the head-unit?

thanks for the reply. I was thinking of mounting the tweeters on the vent covers in the corner of the doors to make wiring a bit easier. yeah will be running them of the head unit for the moment. may go for a new h/u and amp later on.
