    Default ute sound system

im thinking of buying a ute soon and was wonderin how a decent sound system would be set up in one.i would be getin a vy-vz ute, i currently have 2 6 and a half splits, and 3 6x9s and a deck.i would leave out the 6x9's and put in a decent sub.where and how would a sub fit in and also the amp?

Hi mate, i'm in the process of finding a sub to fit in my thunder. i have found that a Kicker cvt10 slim sub in a kicker box will fit behind the drivers seat. with the amp behind the passenger seat. it's rated at about 400w RMS so it should hammer with the right amp! I'm getting one ordered in at the moment. hope this helps.

You have great advantages with the vy-vz ute, by having space behind the back seat. With my vg ute, I had to make a box to fit into the rear tray cavity, beside the fuel tank.

Rockford also have some slim subs too which I would probably look into if going the sub in cabin route.
Would also reccomend a bulk pack of dynamat which I think should cover all areas of the ute bar the floor and footwell which will help quite a bit too.
