How did you connect your power aerial to the new head unit? It should be connected to the antenna turn on, if it doesn't give enough power you'll need to try the amp rem wire!

I just bought a wiring converter... i assumed that it would be connected somewhere there... there is a small black plug though.. that could be the power aerial? ill try connecting it to the remote and let you know.. thanks

That black plug is for the aerial signal most probably (Pioneers have the aerial signal on a wire out of the unit for some reason whereas most others are inbuilt as a socket in the unit).

But you will need to connect the antenna rem wire to the wire in the factory harness to send the electric aerial up as well! Otherwise you'll just get no signal at all!
