Sub then speakers
hey, yesterday must of been a bad day for me but
i have 2 amps (wired perfectly)
1 amp for sub and 1 amp for rear speakers
first the sub has stopped working just faint stuffed up sound (which is fair enough)
then later on when going back to my car i am getting a whining noise out of the rear speakers which are on the amp
but it is only when the ignition/or engine started
CAN ANYONE HELP
THANKS
maybe check how many volts ya gettin to the amps and back of the deck - could be alternator or battery problem - i know when my battery is really low i get a bit of a whine whilst is charges up
does it do it with the stereo off and ignition on?
see where i have moved this thread to, put any car audio related problems you have in the same area from now on.
nope with the stero off it doesnt do it, just when the ignition is on or started lol
im confused
Has this noise just suddenly started?. (I assume nothing else has changed). The only thing that can change is the power supply so I'm thinking you should get a load test done on your battery and make sure the alternator is charging. Have you actually had the engine running ?.
After an onsite install the other day the customer calls and says the sub has stopped working, then the next day he calls and tells me the CD dosn't play past the first track. I make a special trip down there and find that the battery is dead, and the whole thing works fine after I jump start it. I'm not saying this is your problem, just that battery problems are very common and often mis diagnosed.

.. or it's bad earth![]()
earth should be fine, nah new battery and alternator should be good just happened randomly, the battery is fully charged
i am running 2 amps
so from the seat belt mount (middle one that pulls down)
i have 1 cable, and due to my design of my amp box, i have 1 main ground cable conected into 2 cables going to the other amps.
which all the connections should be really good, i volt checked them all and all seems good
i dunno
