    Default is this setup okay? VZ COMMODORE

    its a vz ss btw

    1 x pdx.5 alpine amplifier 5 channel 4x75w 1x300w
    4 x 6"5 inch JL AUDIO C2-650X 60 rms 2 way speakers
    1 x SWS-1243D 12" alpine sub 300 rms

    also just wondering how u pick a good box and if neone makes a stock looking enclosure for a vy-vz boot? i dont like the box look id rather one that slip in the corner..

    any suggestions on my setup would be great its not spose to be to special just a nice cruiser!

    Problem with corner boxes is that you dont get the required volume a sub needs to peform correctly. Having a smaller box than recommended usually results in dry restricted bass. You can feel that it could perform better.

    Jack Parks,

    Just remember that the 5 channel amp is putting out 300W max, and your sub is 300RMS (so max will be higher). To get the best out of the sub you'll need more power!

    I'm not sure how much your getting that amp for, but maybe look at the price of a 4 channel for your speakers and then a monoblock for the amp (they're more powerful)? I should have some 500W Sony Monoblocks by the end of the week for $200.

    its actually 300w rms so im gonna get away with it i think

    Well yea, that should be cool then. Normally amps are rated using peak power. But i know many setups use more powerful amps so that they can actually get more power out of their speakers (because not all of that power rating will reach the speaker EVER).
