How you going guys, ive got a MTX RT404 RoadThunder amp and im trying to install it in a VN wagon. Original plan was to mount it under the seat, but the floor isnt flat, and the seat hits in going back and forth.
installing in the back is my LAST option, since its a wagon, and its very easily visible.
Is it safe to install in the glovebox? Its a fairly small unit, and has about 4-5cm left on either side once its in there...
Ideas?
could work ........... but cooling may be an issue and most of them time when poeple break into a car they raid the glovebox try in the spare wheel well if you have nothing in their and it looks completely stock
Eureka styles!
yeah you will certainly have issues with heat, you need adequate airflow for an amp
If you are happy with it being there, you can always cut a hole and mount a fan or two to deal with the heat. You could always hook it up just as a trial, run it for a little while and just see how the temp goes. If youre happy with it, clean all the cables up neatly and mount it properly.
