    Default Vy/Vz Aftermarket Fascia Removal

Hey guys, great forum, just joined, been roamin the place for ages tho.
Was just wondering if anyone knew how to remove the aftermarket head unit fascia from a vy/vz. i just bought a new head unit and DNA fascia on sunday for my Vy and installed it all and was pretty happy with it, then i bought a cat 10 today so i could wide up my steering controlls and when i was trying top remove the fascia SNAP. the ****n thing broke. i dont think the guys at ****obahn will replace it, evan though i just wpent 600 bux there. so i am going to have to spend 50 bux on a new one. Question is, does anyone know how to remove these things without snaping it like i did? there has to be some way because i want to install an amp later down the track and i dont want to snap the fascia again. thanks in advance guys.

I have a DNA double din kit and the front fascia just unclips. i use a thin offcut of plastic to pry it out, there are 2 clips on the bottom of the left and right sides.

Also if you know that down the track you are going to put an amp in run the RCA leads (they are cheap enough to get now) out from behind the unit and extend the remote wire to a more accessible place to connect to later on.
I did this in my VS because it was a pain getting to the head deck every time i wanted to add something.

yer, mine is a single din, and ther isnt really a way u can detatch it at the sides ounce its in, i got tld u can remove the glovebox and get to the back of the headunit, sum1 told me they did ths when they later decided to install an amp. is this correct? or is there an easier way to remove the facia.

i had the same problem with mine, the issue is it snaps in real tight and the facia is in two pieces, it has one or two small screws and clips together, if i remember, i broke one clip off getting it out once,

once i got it out, i got a small file and just put a slight edge on the clips that hold it on, its still tight but its much better

i recently put in a head unit and the fascia for it in my vz and for some reason the head unit sits behind the fascia instead of infront so i cant simply pull it out and change wires around which is what i need to do since it doesnt save radio stations when it turns off i was just wondering if there was anyway to remove the fascia without braking it so i can change the wires, or do i need to invest in a new one and brake the one i hav?
