lcd screen top of dash vy

im planning on fiberglassing a small monitor into the top removable part of my center dash, very simular to the 2 guage hsv but with 1 screen



found this site that has a few monitors, unsure about whats suitible, or quality, take a look and if u got time make sum sugestions, would be great

sweet as dude. I've been wanting to use that little area for something, I'd love to put a gps or something in there, Rear view camera.
Be super cool if when u closed the lid, the screen would fold horizontal and go back in flush, but wishful thinking i think :P

More ontopic, i think that the Outdoor and Sunlight Readable LCD Monitor is good, cause at that height you may get alot of sun and glare. BUt those raw lcd modules are probably the way to go if your going to make up a custom casing for it

yeh the raw lcd's would be ideal if the had the anti glear shit on em. ill keep hunting, open to suggestions

Yeah, that guy sure knows what he's doing! I've been following that thread for about a year, he's slowly been adding to it. Real pleasure to watch it all go together

If your thinking of the thread i think your thinking about then he didnt. He got to the stage where he wanted someone to go in with him to actually produce them for sale. He made a fully functing prototype thou. Not sure if he is still on the forum.

sounds like what im after exept i just want a stand alone screen.
