Looking for info on wiring for this unit.....'tis an FM unit but not sure if one of the wires is an aerial wire for the fm transmitter.......the wire in question is a sheilded cable but its been cut off so not sure how it was or should be terminated......the unit works ok but the recieved signal is noisy and weak......any info would be appriciated....thanks.......
usually the unit will have 2 aerial (or shielded) cables, one plugs into the vehicles antenna and the other plugs into your stereos antenna input.
How have you got it wired at the moment?

It's been a while since I've seen one of these, but from memory there is a 1/8" stereo plug on the back of the stacker that the coax cable plugs into. It is both an input and an output, so if it's been cut off I'm guessing the antenna I/O box is missing. It's a small silver box with aeiral connectors on it. You may be able to splice some new connectors to it but it'll be trial and error as to which way they go. I've never tried to do it that way but it's worth a go.
If you can't get it going I reckon I have one laying around somewhere, if I can find it and you pay the postage I'll get it up to you.
