Hey, i have a four channel amp that i'm wanting to hook up, and i dont know which RCA's to use from my headunit? i have six so should i not use the sub out and use the two red/two white in the head unit?
Thanks.
Well then for the moment you just need to connect 1 pair of RCAs to either the front or rear preouts of the head-unit (depending on where the speakers will be mounted). Then just buy a set of RCA splitters to split the two plugs into four plugs at the amp end. Either that or just connect your two sets of RCAs to the front and rear outputs of the head-unit and to the amp....doing it this way means you wont be able to fade the 7x10s out or in if you know what i mean.
yeah mate i get what you mean thanks heaps. i didnt know you could split the rca connection i thought that was bad or something. so thats okay if i just set up one pair of rca's?
Cheers heaps.
I had a Sony Xplod RCA, the first one was faulty and i was told it was my fault, couldnt possibly be the equipment, etc etc...
So the replacement i get snapped off in my amp, meaning amp had to be pulled apart so i could poke it out from the inside.
Wow, sounds like you guys got some bad batches of Sony cables! Ones i've got have never been bad! My one even survived a fairly nast accident with only a tiny slit in the plastic covering! :O
