Default Pre-cut MDF Boards for Sub

I am looking for pre-cut MDF boards with 12" holes to fit my DIY sub box. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Because I don't have the right tools to do the job, nor do I have the appropriate woodworking skills.

Don't think that sort of thing is available pre-made. You could just ask a cabinet maker to cut something up for you, they'll have all the right tools.

Or you could buy a jigsaw for $50 and do it yourself. No skills required except common sense

I'm sure any woodworking shop would so it for barely anything. Just draw the cut on the wood, take it in and say "can you cut this?". Maybe just a six-pack or something.

i dont think they make pre cut mdf with holes in it...

its not hard to buy a sheet of mdf from bunnings, and cut a hole where ya need them, u dont need alot of skill, and it doesnt have to be perfect because it will be covered up by the sub...

How did you build the sub box?

Really mate you can buy jigsaws fairly cheap these days ($20-$40) and a sheet of 16mm MDF will only cost $10-$15, a joinery etc will cost you about the same......if you do it yourself you'll not only gain some knowledge but be able to do it again and again. Dont worry if you stuff it up or anything......everyone's gotta start somewhere

    +1 holdenboy!

Have a go yourself Mate! As Stone said, not all that much skill required - just some common sense! (ie - keep your fingers away from the jiggly bit with teeth...)

Even if you do stuff something up - buy a bit enough bit of MDF to do a second one! You never know, if you enjoy doing it you might have a second job building subs for your buddies!

My old man always had a saying - "The bloke who never made a mistake, never achieved anything..."

(oh, he had another one too - I think every second bloke's old man did - "measure twice, cut once..." - bloody good one, that!)
