i just got a VY executive and wanted to keep the inside looking stock but also want to wire an amp for my 2 12' subs.
so does any1 no if it is possible to wire an amp thru the stock deck?
cheerz everyone
Contact a bloke called "phreddy" from ASR audio - you'll find him in the sponsor area,
he does modifications to put RCA pre outs on the stock headunit - tell him what you want and he'll run up a quote for you
Check out my ride!
cheerz bro..
i was thinkin of piggybackin my old deck thru the stock 1 n use the preouts on that.
any ideas?
Not really possible.
Another option (although Phreddys' mod is the best one) is to add a high quality line out converter (LOC), this converts high level outputs of a head-unit (speaker outputs) into RCA outputs (to plug into the amp).
Its fairly inportant if you wanted to go down this route to purchase a high quality version, places like Jaycar offer cheap LOCs but ive found they a good way to introduce system / engine interference. Be prepared to pay anything from $100-$300 for a quality LOC.

i think phreddyz will definately b the way to go.
anyone else had it installed?
how good is the system?
