anyone know about wat happens with the blaupunkt

Hey im just wondering why sometimes when i unlock my car and leave it unlocked and don't start it even after i lock it the backlight on my stock blaupunkt stays on just showing the clock i know it won't drain the battery but it's really annoying because it should just turn off when i lock the car, or after ive unlocked the car and not started it for a period. Othertimes it will just perform correctly.

edit. its actually frozen and wont work unless i actually start the engine. i cant even turn the radio on in the on position.

Pull the fuses out for a while and reset the unit.
See if that does anything.

yeah my car does that aswell...its kind of annoying but i got use to it, it eventually turns off...had a good look inthe manual and nothing about it.
