Blaupunkt 6 disc stacker - Mechanism Error

Hi,

First time I have ever posted. Any assistance would be appreciated

I have an '03 VY Calais with the 6 disc Blaupunkt stereo

The factory headunit all of a sudden decided to stop ejecting and switching discs.

The disc in CD1 is the only one playing (Thankgod the radio still works).

When I press Eject or try to change discs, it makes some "whirring" noises then reports 'Mechanism Error".

Has anyone had the same problem?

Any ideas?

Had this problem when at Holden. Try resting it first and if it doesn't work, then your options are take it to Holden or to get a hold of phreddy at asr, through the sponsors page or links below and see if he can help.

look I reccently sold a 6 stacker unit to a bloke because his shit itself with the same problem. he said it would cost him 700 bucks to fix it. I sold it to him for 280 bucks, thinkin I should of ask for more :P
