Neat kerosene works well. Once you have wiped or cleaned the area with the kerosene, I would then give the car a wash.
best by far spray some wd40 on the spots let it sit 5 mins use nail brush / toothbrush

A claybar can remove tar completely, but you are best off removing as much as possible with something like Intensive Tar Remover first before getting your claybar very dirty![]()

Treat the spots with WD40 (may need to be applied a couple of times) wipe off with a clean soft cloth.
Wash the car, then do a clay bar treatment, then wax.

i work for a company that builds trucks that spray emulsion ( TAR ) onto the road, i always have tar im cleaning of my car with prepsol, have even had to clean it off my seat once with it
Ive found some glass cleaner works well on small spots , i also found auto glym aqua wax keeps it off the car..
i found diesel works like a charm makes all soft and comes off with ease, use at work on truck rims before the drivers polish them up wipe it all down with diesel let it sit for abit and comes off jst as easy as it got there.
