Dash Conditioner?

Hello all Car Care Enthusiasts!

i need your help, my girlfriend has a 1972?/1973? TC Cortina (straight 6) which has a dash with NO cracks (yet.)
Upon closer inspection yesterday i've found its getting very, very dry in spots, we are moving the car into storage (locked away in a waterproof shed) shortly until we can afford a full restoration, but for the time being we dont want any cracks to develop in the pretty much pristine original dashboard.

what products or methods should i be using to keep it soft and not cracking?
