In addition to my previous thread on the proper use of Menzerna's Hi-Cut, I thought I'd have a little rant here and see if anyone can help me out.
Currently I have APO60 tracks across half my roof, that won't come out. They are not burned in to the paint layer, rather it is very obvious tracking. I have tried quite a few things to get rid of this, including MORE APO60 over the top and a higher speed buffer run over it. I HATE using the rotary at high speeds on my paintwork, as it inevitably leaves nasty swirls through it. I tried a buffer and some water sprayed to try to loosen it up. Didn't work. I tried applying and removing by hand (states on the bottle this should work) and it didn't work. I am running out of options, can anyone help me out?
At this stage to be honest, I am very disappointed with the Menzerna gear. I have little doubt that this is user error, but the learning curve here in a warm shed that doesn't have the best lighting is proving ridiculous. I can get better results in FAR less time with the shithouse products I have used in the past. If I can't work this new stuff out, I will be ripping through it all with the products I know and starting from scratch. I don't want to have to do that after the work that's gone in so far.
Any tips please throw them my way, I have never ever had so much trouble with a product before.

I have just torn back my roof with AG 03B, waste of half a day yesterday with the Menzerna gear - I now need to rip the whole car back with 03B. I even tried the Menzerna final polish (sampler kit, 1 before the wax) again over the top, and it tracked everywhere again! It is stubborn stuff though, takes a bit of cutting to get rid of it.
I am starting to wonder if this is in fact user error, or a disagreement with my paintwork, because I cannot have done anything THAT wrong. As it stands, I am (I think understandably) very disappointed with my purchase, as it has caused me nothing but trouble and I got an incomparably better result from the bottle of AutoGlym 03B I already had in the shed. I will still use the DG sealant over the top when I am satisfied I have any swirling from the 03B taken care of.

Could be number of factors. What brand and type of pads are you using, how much pressure are you applying? It may be a case of very soft paint and too harsh pad.
Are you using a rotary? In some cases it may be almost impossible to finish with a rotary without leaving holograms and in that case you'll need to finish with a DA. Depending on the paint, even some pros find it difficult to finish with a rotary.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

Nah I'm not talking about holograms, but actual marks, polish deposited onto the paint surface that requires a cut to get rid of it. Also tried applying by hand = can see every circle in the application pattern.
Pads are a nice medium feel yellow pad, I think Gelson make them but I could be wrong. I've never had a problem getting a good finish with a rotary, usually I use the rotary to cut back with a couple of grades of compound until I have it down to a nice fine grade, then apply the final layer or two by hand, then sealant by hand.

Are you working the product long enough for it to break down?

Was trying to but it kept drying up and then just refused to be moved by the buff, even with a light water spray. . I've had a tip to use Quick Detailer to lubricate it a bit, I will try that next time. For some reason on the day I convinced myself that Quick Detailer was a terrible idea, and would result in an uneven finish. Don't know how I came up with that theory
but I will give it a crack on my mate's white VR Senator over Christmas.

APO60 is a Wax with a very fine cleaner/polish in it so I would be using a very fine pad either a black or Blue pad in the LC range and on a low speed . Dont know the actual brand you are usng but yellow is normaly a harsh pad for used for correction. Also were did you get the Wax from just out of interest?
Online ordered through CCP as part of their Menzerna Sampler Kit. I think the problem was more that the other polishes stuck to the surface to a small extent, and I thought that being an AIO product, the AP060 might get rid of the remnants of polish and just leave a nice clean wax coat. Assuming that might have been a mistake.
