    Default swirl marks by hand

what would you recommend for removing swirl marks by hand. this is a black car, with light swirl marks that can really only be seen in direct sunlight. not really worth a detail, i just want to fix it up myself.
i found quite a few on your site but im not sure which to go with:
    Autoglym 02B Ultrafine Renovator
    Autoglym 03B Fine Abrasive
Menzerna Final Finish OEM Hi Cut 106FF
Menzerna Final Finish OEM Hi Gloss PO85RD
Menzerna Final Finish PO85U One Step
    Duragloss Pre-Cleaner no. 2

i would prefer a very light cutting (abrasive) as opposed to something that just fills/hides marks as they always seem to come back...

Meguiars Ultimate Compound is the best for hand use. It cuts the paint down. Supercheap may still have on special. After that theres megs 150 which is harsher or Swirl X which is softer. The Menzernas are excellent but need the machine.

To acheive good results by hand, especially on a black car, is quite difficult.

For a Light Cut then perhaps Menzerna PO85U with a microfibre applicator pad, it will be hard work but will give you the permanent results you are looking for.

Menzerna or in fact any pure abrasive polish is easier and will provide better / more consistent results with a polisher, such as the DAS6 Random Orbital but can be used by hand. The point to realise is that the cut/abrasives in the polish are only activated by frition and heat and therefore you have to generate this by hand if not using a machine.

Megs Compound or Swirl X do contain abrasives that will remove light marks in a similar fashion to Menzerna but they also contain fillers, just like Tech Wax, which simply hide the marks and swirls and then they reappear after a few washes when the fillers are washed away. A lot of 'hand polishes' are AIO (All In One) this means they contain abrasives to cut, fillers to conceal and sometimes a light sealant to protect. If using by hand they can produce reasonable results but the drawback is you will need to reapply regularly because the results are not permanent. A pretty good AIO is Car Care Products / Autoglym / Exterior / Polish / Super Resin Polish you can also get it in a kit that gives you 2 small bottles one is a harsher cut 'Painwork Renovator' and the other is an extra Sealant 'Extra Gloss Protection' Car Care Products / Autoglym / Detailing Kits / All Categories / Paintwork Perfection Kit

Bottom line - to acheive a good level or permanent correction anyone will need a machine polisher, by hand you cannot put in enought consistent energy to gain the results. That is why these are now so popular - Car Care Products / Mint / Car Accessories / Buffing Machines / RO Polisher DAS6 - they are easy to use, cut down the time required and provide mush better results than by hand...

    Hope this helps
