    Default Leather Steering Wheel Car.

    Hi All,

I see friends Holden's with old, worn out leather steering wheels. I want to look after mine and keep the nice black leather steering in the same condition I bought the car in which is excellent....

    Any suggestions?

Use the duragloss kit on it that your going to get and put a steering shade thingy on it when parking it outside. I have a momo steering wheel (that Im trying to sell) that I use to cover up all the time, the thing looks brand new.

    i,

Good advice from RIP05 - regualr conditioning is always good because it keeps the moisture in the leather and stops cracking and drying out. A shade cover is good if left outside in the sun all day.

The other slightly 'strange' thing to do is actually use all of the steering wheel. Mostly you use 10-2 or on top of the wheel when driving, when you are just cruising or on the moorway try using the bottom of the wheel where you do not usually use. It sounds a bit an*l but all the steering wheels I have seen are worn out on top or 10-2 position... hope this doesn't freak everyone out!

    Cheers

I've been using the Maguires leathercare from their motor bike range and it seems to work ok.

    In short - No.

It does not contain UV inhibitors or some of the other good properties that something like 303 Aero Protectant offers
