Well at least my opinion anyway. Over the years I have bought at least 10 different brands of these, I have found the Aion Plas Chamois (synthtic) to prevail. Its like 11 bucks to buy and its lasted through and through, This is not an advert, as the way im typing seems to flow out like one. Has anybody used this brand before or know of other good ones, pretty boring topic but I have wasted heaps of coin on them.
The ShamWow is obviousy the best. Hav'nt you seen the ads?
Lol, get one of these, nothing compares.. they are fantastic!

Yeah chamois is old. Microfibre towel ftw. Had one given to me in Darwin and have since lost it. Was so good 1 swipe done water gone leaving no residue.
Shamwow is a gimic lol i used one and it left little orange bits of chamois on my car .. the best by far would have to be oates chamois the super big ones... these baby's last forever and get every drip off.. most car wash places use them to im pretty sure.
The problem with cheap Synethic Chamois is they can easily scratch. These combined with cheap synthetic sponges are the BIGGEST cause of swirls, spider webbing and light scratches in your paint.
The main reason is that they are primarily a flat surface that clings to the paint surface and therefore the remaining dirt particles do not have anywhere to go when wiping over.
So the next time your cheap chamois starts to cling or drag over the surface - it will be inducing new damage to your paint...

I think my chamois is "Oates", it's deffinitely the best one ive ever used and doesnt leave marks and always seems to stay clean![]()
+1 to the Oates, used them for years when i worked as a detailer
btw sorry if i stuff this post up i havent posted on here before
I use a synthetic man made chamois at work.It works fine. They suck when they are brand new, but work real nice once they get worked in. They last for about 3 months before they wear thin.
Oates Clean Chamois here too.. I need a new one though.
