Cleaning VE SV6 stock exhaust

Hi all,

I picked up an 08 SV6 last week and it's due for its first clean this weekend but I have a question about cleaning the chrome tipped exhaust.

The below is a picture of my exhaust which is pretty dirty, my question is what products should I use to clean it? Is it simply a case of a once over with a standard car cleaner and then some chrome polish from super cheap or is there more to it?

Wheel cleaner will do it. No need to buy metal polish.

Thanks mate I'll give some wheel cleaner a go

Wheel Cleaner might get the grime off but it will not remove the 'tarnish' and it might actually stain as some like the FI one are Acid based.

It would give it a good wash and then use a Metal Polish such as DG Metal Polish or Autosol Metal Polish both will give 100 times the result of a cleaner alone and they contain a finish that helps protect against further build up.
